KPMG as tuition provider for DipIFR
1.Do I need tuition for DipIFR?
There is no compulsory requirement for tuition for the course but since this is a technical subject we strongly recommend a good tuition and systematic guidance to clear the exam in first attempt.
2.What is the exam pattern?
The exam contains two sections and has a mix of computational and discursive elements. Some questions adopt a scenario/case study approach. All questions will be compulsory. Typically one compulsory 40 mark question covering group accounting and individual company adjustments, and three compulsory 20 mark questions covering a variety of accounting standards. The next assessment will be held in December 2013 across various centres within India.

Program covers eighty (80) hours of intensive and interactive classroom training, in which 70 hours will cover the entire syllabus of Diploma in IFRS awarded by the ACCA of UK and the rest will focus on Ind AS

5.KPMG DipIFR Tuition Fees
The programme fee (exclusive of service tax) is INR 27,500/. Fee includes all necessary study material but excludes the exam registration fees payable to the ACCA for the DipIFR exam. The amount shall have to be paid directly to KPMG by way of cheque and receipts shall be issued within 2-3 working days.

About DipIFR
1. What is DipIFR
DipIFR is useful for qualified professional accountants and other professionals experienced in the Indian GAAP and addresses international financial reporting and first time application of IFRS. DipIFR is designed to develop an individual’s knowledge of IFRS – providing an understanding of the concepts and principles which underpin them, and their application in the international marketplace, thereby preparing him/her for working in the IFRS environment.
2. Who provides DipIFR?

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) provides Diploma in IFRS (DipIFR) and is the largest and fastest-growing global body of professional accountants in the world, with over 1,40,000 members and 4,04,000 students through a network of 83 offices.

3. Am I Eligible?

Chartered accountants / Company Secretaries/ Cost and Work Accountants and other accounting professionals are eligible to take the exam if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Even those pursuing the above qualification can also apply provided they meet any of the following:
• A relevant degree plus two years’ work experience* or
• Three years’ work experience* or
• ACCA affiliate status or
• ACCA Certificate in International Financial Reporting plus two years’ work experience.
* Experience letter to be attached to registration form.
CA/CS/CWA articleship or training as well as any other experience prior to that is also usually considered as relevant work experience.
4. What exams do I need to clear?
The DipIFR exam will be assessed by a single three-hour closed book written exam, held twice a year in June and December at the ACCA's exam centres in India as well. The pass mark is 50%. The exam contains two sections and has a mix of computational and discursive elements. Some questions adopt a scenario/case study approach.
5. Will there be an exam centre in Jaipur?
There is no permanent exam centre in Jaipur currently but if there is substantial number of registered candidates that ACCA can be persuaded to open up an exam centre in Jaipur. The other nearest centres are Delhi and Ahmedabad.
6. How to register for the course?
For the December 2013 exam, registration forms and all supporting documentation should be submitted to the ACCA by 8th October 2013. Interested participants are required to register online and send hard copy of necessary documents to ACCA UK 10 days before the last date of registration. MAPyourskills recommend registration by 20th of September and MAPyourskills shall then collate and send the documents to ACCA on behalf of all applicants to avoid any last minute cancellations.
7. What is the fee for the course?
Your initial registration fee includes one exam attempt. A further fee is charged for any re-sit. The initial registration fee for December 2013 is £195 and includes one exam attempt; the same fee in June 2014 is £205. Re-sits are charged at the same price as the initial registration fee above.
